13 March the Khimky football club was awarded with the “Stainless Ball” Prize put up by Novaya Gazeta and National Association of Bookmakers (NAB) for the fair play in the season of 2007. 

Novaya Gazeta kept up the column “Clean Feet” during the past season. Jointly with the executive director of the NAB Oleg Zhuravsky we monitored the integrity of the Russian Premier League matches and gave our forecast for each round. The leading NAB experts, coaches, referees, clubs’ security service officers assisted us in detecting “odd” matches. Finally, it turned out that no matches with Khimky club participation had aroused suspicions with the football experts.   

The awarding ceremony was held during the traditional meeting with the fans where the team members and the club’s management were present. Further, the prize will be awarded on the annual basis and it will be given to the fairest clubs based on the outcomes of the “Clean Feet” action.
