During preparation of the material about scandalous case of Seltzer it became clear that it was necessary to have comments by Boris Berezovsky. Mr. Berezovsky agreed to answer my questions; not all, though.  

Q: Boris Abramovich. What do you know about Seltzer’s case?

A: I know that he is placed in a Byelorussian prison.

Q: Is it true that he arrived in Minsk on your personal plane?

A: Yes, he requested me to give him my plane and so I did. 

Q: Josef Kay affirms that it’s you to have organized arrest of Mr. Seltzer.

A: I do not comment statements by the fraud Josef Kay. 

Q: The brother of Emmanuil Seltzer, Mark, affirms that it was you to advise Seltzer to fly to Minsk.

A: Neither do I give comments to Seltzer’s brother words. That’s all one group of swindlers. 

Q: Emmanuil Seltzer is a fraudster too?

A: From my point of view, yes, undoubtedly. I have direct proof of his fraud. 

Q: And why did you give your plane to a fraud? 

A: I did not risk anything when I allowed my plane to Emmanuil Seltzer on his request so that he can fly to Minsk. He is a swindler, not a terrorist. He hasn’t the guts for that. 

On the other hand, I realized clearly that if Byelorussian law enforcing bodies are professional ones, they will stop the fraud. This is what happened. Moreover, they stopped the fraud that had been doing with impunity his criminal activities for many years on the US territory. Tens of the US citizens were victims of his swindle and the US law enforcement system was unable to oppose him. Moreover, according to some information I possess, some US officials were involved in his frauds.

Before his flight to Belarus, I told to Emmanuil Seltzer in the presence of his lawyers that I consider him to be a fraud. Well, if he thinks the other way, good riddance.  

Q: What property of Badri Patarkatsishvili in Belarus may be involved in this case? Is there any?

A: I do not comment this. I only can say that according to my information Badri had property in Belarus.

Q: Is it true that you often come to Minsk and see Lukashenko?

A: It’s no good question as you know the answer before you ask it. I do not comment on my traveling just for one reason: I don’t want to let FSB watch it. You probably know that there have been several attempts on me, including those registered by Scotland Yard. I was attempted several times even in London.  

Q: Your attitude to dictatorship regimes is well known. In relation to that, what’s your attitude to the regime in Belarus?

A: I only can compare the regimes in Russia, Belarus and Georgia. In that sense I can make a statement: the current political regime in Belarus is much more democratic than those in Russia and Georgia. But all that does not exclude my attitude to dictatorship regimes in post-soviet space and my struggle against them. I’m absolutely consistent in this point. The West has distorted the assessment of the regimes standing in post-soviet space, including that in Belarus. This is prompted with economic conjuncture. The West depends on the Russian energy resources and this is why Putin’s regime is hailed even at G8 meetings. The West has invested enormous means to impose its will on Georgian people, and now it is paying dear for that. Saakashvili’s regime is absolutely illegitimate, but it enjoys the support from the West.   

Q: To your mind, can it be that death of Badri Patarkatsishvili was not accidental? 

A: I do not exclude that. Moreover, the developments after Badri’s death make me convinced that there is a criminal plot of one group of frauds with another group of frauds. The first group is Josef Kay, Emmanuil Seltzer, Alexander Fishkin and all that dirty company. The other group is Saakashvili and his entourage. Their goal is getting possession of Badri’s property and the Imedi TV station above all. I do not deny that they might have trafficked before Badri’s death and the reason of his death may have been caused with that. The fact that so far, after four months, there have not been forensic expertise results by British experts about what caused his death - all that brings additional questions. Along with that I have no doubts about professionalism by the British police officers and experts. When I was told that it was possible some political decision by British authorities so that not compromise Saakashvili’s regime, favored by their friends Americans, and that due to that the true causes of the death might be concealed – all that is an absolutely soviet-like delusion. I know that exactly those documents that will be published by British experts, they will be the truth. But the matter is that there are ways of killing a person that cannot be identified with modern methods of research. This is why no opinion given can guarantee absolutely that Badri died a natural death. We must be aware of that.          

Q: You communicated with Badri in London. Did he apprehend that he might be murdered?

A: Of course he did, and also because of our friendship. Besides, he criticized severely Saakashvili’s regime. Moreover, Sunday Times published a part of a decoded talk by a Georgian special services officer with a Chechen gunman, who has been identified. It was talked directly that Saakashvili had given an order to hit Badri. Right after this information leaked to the media, a provocation was organized against Badri with the help of Mr. Kodua, an officer of Georgian special services. I have documented evidence of attempting by Saakashvili on Badri’s murder. It’s just that now no one in the West is willing to hear about that, as Saakashvili is a Bush’s ally. Well, initially no one wanted to hear about explosions of blocks of flats in Moscow and about Litvinenko. No one could believe it had been possible to organize a radioactive terrorist attack in the centre of London.      

Q: And what’s your opinion about the decision by Tbilisi court recognizing that the documents Mr. Seltzer was arrested with to be authentic? 

A: The situation is very simple: the Georgian court has become as unlawful as the Russian one. Similar vertical of power is formed there and the court takes the decisions being ordered by President Saakashvili and his entourage. No wonder that the Georgian court calls the white to be black and vice-versa. I have full probative evidence that Josef Kay and Emmanuil Seltzer are frauds. I stress that it is exactly the evidence and not my hypotheses. One may find a lot of things there: forged documents, forged signatures, false witnesses – that’s the whole complex undermining the idea itself of justice in democratic countries. And if we add to this that Georgia is no democratic country anymore and the state is taking part in this fraud, why should we be surprised about such a decision by the Tbilisi court? Moreover, it fully contradicts the decision by the New York court.  

Q: If you have probative evidence, why don’t you want to publish it?  

A: Why! It’s just because everything goes its own way. This information is in possession of my lawyers and those working for Badri’s relatives. All the information was submitted to the New York Court. I’m sure that at the end Josef Kay will get to prison like Emmanuil Seltzer did.
