The past year of 2008 was the year of definitive strengthening the vertical of power. 
The crime has almost been eliminated. During last half a year no murder was committed in Moscow! We must clarify that it was proved by the police experiments that the loud deaths of the high ranking official from the President’s Administration and the top-manager of one capital bank were suicides. The official having got out of his service car made four shots into his own head. As for the top-manager, he smashed his own skull with a stone and then hanged himself in a forest. 

The situation about the blown 17-storied block of flats on Gushkin Street got to be clarified at last. High ranking government workers have made a series of official statements saying that it was an accident, or terrorist act by Islamic extremists, or act of sabotage by Other Russia.

The investigative group has managed to prove in a brilliant way that all the three assumptions were true!

General Cherkesov was detained as a result of special operation made. He is charged with unlawful crossing the street to the red light. Experts say this case is about another round of struggling among top brass groups. To demonstrate his loyal disposition to Mr Cherkesov, Vladimir Putin took him on his visit to Washington. On his returning from the trip the general came back to Lefortovo prison from where he continues to run effectively the Federal Service of Drug Control.  

The number of attacks against government cars has increased. 1st December Alexandra P., 89, threw herself on the car of the defense minister. The husband and son of Mrs. P are arrested. They have confessed to working for the US intelligence service. Similar incidents happened to the minister of economic development, the chair of the Supreme Court and a number of the governors. It must be noted that in one of cases the enemies acted extremely cynically: they recruited two 7-year old children to make a terrorist attack in the way described above.  

Ingushetia is strengthening its law and order. President Zyazikov has reported recently about laying a foundation stone for building the fifth oil processing plant in the Republic. The previous four plants were burnt down by gunmen. 

United Russia party has proposed the bill On Militia Officer Rights. According to it, a militia officer - when he is on duty and also at leisure time – has the right to beat, rape, rob and humiliate any citizen. In exchange for this, the militia officer must execute orders by his any superior.

Democracy in Russia is developing. Besides United Russia, Just Russia and Free Russia, new parties Happy Russia, Wealthy Russia and Veterinaries for Putin have been created under the initiatives by the regions. The pluralism of opinion is increasing. This way Happy Russia and Wealthy Russia believe that Vladimir Putin must immediately come back to power, while Veterinaries For Putin consider it that he should do it without delay.

Economic power of the country has strengthened. Besides state corporations DiamondJewelry, Russian Steel, Russian Copper and Russian Aluminum a number of new bodies have been created being specialized in the sphere of high technology. These are Russian Moon, Russian Mars and Russian Space that will be dedicated to making up settlements on Mars and Moon and creation of spaceships intended for interstellar travel. Each corporation has been allotted $10 bn for development of its projects. V.V.Putin in person will be the chair of board at each corporation. It should be stressed that the fact of organizing such corporations proves the huge advantage by Russia over the West that doesn’t even dream on making settlements on Mars.    

It’s been only during past half a year that about 80 spy-scientists were detected and sentenced in Russia. The scholar Vasin, who passed to the Chinese the technology of using the compass, got a life sentence.  

China got to rent 4,000,000 square kilometers of the Russian territory in the frames of the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

Emissaries of the movement Nashi (Ours) have thrown rotten eggs at the ambassador of Andorra. The action has stressed the fact of growing international authority by Russia and strengthened its position as the strongest and most peaceable state on the planet. 

A joint inspection by FSB and MVD has revealed the fact of significant price rise in the shops and supermarkets. To secure the price reduction, it has been decided to attach one FSB and MVD officer and one member of United Russia to each store. All the attached must be provided by the store with an apartment in Moscow with the area not less than 300 square meters, a service Mercedes with an escorting SUV, an office with a secretary and two free vouchers given every year for having a rest in Courchevel and Maldives. It is assumed that the prices for staple commodities will be reduced through these measures. Authorities will not allow the rich eating the poor out of house and home!
