Yesterday Ingush President Murat Zyazikov dismissed the local government. Official grounding by the president is that it is necessary “to set more ambitious goals for the state bodies in Ingushetia”. However, people close to the president’s entourage, comment on the taken decision differently.  

Last week the rumors spread around in the republic that a big businessman Ibragim Malsagov made an application for resignation. Allegedly, the reason is an ownership conflict between the president and the head of the government. So the yesterday’s decision by Murat Zyazikov seems to be a preemptive move. 

First deputy head of the government Khava Evloeva has been appointed the acting chair of the government. She has been responsible for social policy in the republic before.
